In addition to a journey of experiential awakening, you will also be making a direct difference in the lives of the people in the mountains around Machu Picchu. Five percent of the profits from this tour will go towards La SS Manamach Ong, a Peruvian registered non-profit organization, which works with the people of the area. There are many impoverished people in the high mountains surrounding Machu Picchu who do not benefit from the profits of tourism in the area. Our organization assists these people in a variety of ways by assisting them to become more self-sufficient and resourceful, by providing them with warm clothes and educational supplies, and acting as a model with our organic farm. You will be given an opportunity to visit our farm, which is a scenic one-hour walk from the town of Pueblo Machu Picchu.
