AYAHUASCA:
Ayahuasca is an ancient shamanic plant used for thousand of years and is considered the Mother of all Medicines by the shamans of the Amazon. The main brew is made from a combination of the stems and trunk of a vine or liana (Banisteriopsis caapi) and the leaves of the Chacruna tree (Psychotria viridis).
Traditional shamans, or ayahuasqueros uses it, to treat physical, emotional and psychological problems. Traditional practitioners of the plant refer to it as medicine. For medicine it really is! It helps us to connect to the shaman within each of us, to connect with our higher self. Journeys with ayahuasca are a very individual experience. Each of us comes to the medicine with our own history, experiences, problems and mental state; therefore it is a very personal experience. Because it is a personal journey into the inner being of our true self, it is an experience that affects people in different ways. The journey is personal, but it is always transformative.
SAN PEDRO:
San Pedro is a cactus of the genus Trichocereus of which there are about thirty species in the Andes. Use of the San Pedro cactus has been a continuous tradition in Peru for over 3,000 years. Like the use of other teaching plants, shamans use San Pedro for a variety of purposes from seeking answers to questions, to healing various ailments, and in the treatment of alcoholism.
San Pedro opens us to the greatness of ourselves as well as creates a link between Nature and us. With great clarity and heightened senses our inner visionary abilities come forth. As with the use of other teaching plants, each journey is an individual experience.
